Early blue felt pennant has \"New York Giants\" painted in white on the frontand features the gothic style of lettering which waspopular at the turn of thecentury. Dead-ball era pennant possibly when Christy Mathewson was stillpitching or maybe slightlylater when Multi-Sport Jim Thorpe was on the team.Could this be a 1917 Pennant Winning Giants who played against the\"Shoeless\"Joe Jackson of the Chicago White Sox in the World Series? I did some researchtrying to pin down the year, Icome up empty handed. Displays in great conditionwith just a few cracks on the paint. The dark blue felt is in fabulousconditionand is free from fading. Upon close inspection, the piece was once mountedwith tacks, leaving pin holes. Tiny amount ofrust residue on white border from thethumb tack. I have included below, images of similar gothic NY Giants text.
