Karl Griesbaum Germany Singing Automation Bird Cage Birdcage Automaton Music Box For Sale

This lovely Bird cage automaton features a red bird perched on a branch with foliage. It has a very nicely appointed base with a turquoise cabochon jewels. I believe this is a Karl Griesbaum example, but is unmarked. The automation works; the head, beak, and tail move. It does Not sing. It probably just needs minor adjustment, or maybe just a cleaning. The brass cage and base are in very good condition, with just light scuffs; no bends or repairs, and the on/off switch operates properly. The spring is intact and free (not frozen). It has some bottom wear around the winding knob. It measures about 12\" tall and 6 1/2\" in diameter at the base.
