Isuzu D201 Diesel Engine For Sale

I have not tested or started this diesel, as I do not have the starter for it. It\'s available everywhere for about 100 bucks but I just haven\'t got there yet. I have turned the engine by hand, and it felt \"proper\" to me. This unit needs a major cosmetic cleaning, as it has surface rust that has lifted the paint making it look terrible. However, where lines have been disconnected it still looks shiny and clean inside. The alternator is junk, but I left it on there as a reference for replacement. I was just going to use a standard GM 1 wire alternator for my application. As seen in the pictures, something has crunched the air filter cannister. Again, I was planning on using a different air intake so it wasn\'t an issue for me. The oil pan gasket has obviously leaked in the past, there\'s grime buildup around the bottom. The pan still contains aged but smooth oil. For the purposes of this sale, make the assumption that this unit is a \"rebuilder\", to cover the endless liability issues of . I looked up parts for it, and even if it did need a redo that\'s not very expensive. The injector pump sells for about the same as my opening cost, so you can\'t go too wrong here. Remember, you will have the opportunity to inspect the engine before paying cash.My initial idea for this was to trailer mount it as a compressor and generator driver for mobile auto/equipment repair. if the engine doesn\'t sell on, I\'ll just pick up that project for the winter. These D201 units were used for a few years in Thermo King refrigeration units, and are designed to run about 60, 000 hours between overhauls.
