My name is Rita Meese and I have been reborning dolls since 2007. Together, with my husband David, we have brought over 1,000 “Little Darlins” to life. These babies have been adopted to families all over the world. David and I take great pride in the work we do, and only the highest quality materials are used in our babies. Our goal is to create babies of “heirloom quality” that will bring joy for many years to come.

To achieve the most realistic skin tones I use only Genesis Heat Set Paints. I do not use pre-mixed colors, but prefer to mix my own paints for each baby so that no two are ever identical, but all have their own unique baby complexion. The paint is applied in many thin layers and each layer gets baked into the vinyl so it will never fade or peel. The creases and dimples will receive blushing for realism. Many hours are spent on each baby to get the complexion just right.

Honeyhas ¾ limbs and a custom made, fully jointed, doe suede body.She will be stuffed and weighted in her head, body, and limbs with fiberfill and small pellets for a very realistic feel. At twenty inches, she is the perfect size to cuddle and hold! Sand is never used so travel overseas is no problem.

Honey will come with hand-rooted mohair in the color of your choice. The rooting is a painstaking process, but the results are worth it. Please read the enclosed instructions on reborn hair care. Mohair should never be combed dry.

Honey’s nose will be opened and backed with dark felt for a very realistic look. The eyebrowsare painted on in fine, delicate strokes. Human hair eyelashes are applied to frame her beautiful eyes in the color of your choice.

Eye colors available

She will have a manicure and pedicure for that just clipped baby look. The nails, as well as the mouth will be glossed and sealed. The mouth will be given a slightly moist look.

Dolls made from a portrait or picture add $75.00.All our babies come from a clean, smoke-free home.

Honey will come home withone outfitof my choice. I will ask you for color preference, but that depends upon availability. She will have a onesie, diaper, socks, and arrivein her custom-made fleece blanket or bunting. She will also have a magnetic pacifier (these should not be near pacemakers). Please let us know if you do not want one.

Additional accessories include a hair bow and earrings may at no additional charge.

Custom dolls require your information! After payment, we will contact you for your preferences, (hair color, eye color, etc.). If we do not hear from you we will have to make the doll at our own discretion.

Custom made dolls are made to the buyers\' specifications and are made to the highest standards. The buyer chooses many aspects of the final product, such as hair, eyes, and complexion. For this reason, Little Darlins Nursery is unable to give refunds on custom made dolls. Once we have ordered the supplies needed we cannot give a full refund.

We do, however, stand behind our product. We are proud of our dolls, of our workmanship, and we do not ship a doll until we are satisfied. We stand behind our workmanship, the materials used, and our descriptions in the items.

Ifyou arenot satisfied with the doll, please contact us with pictures highlighting the problem. If we believe this is our error, the buyer must ship the doll back to us within fourteen days upon delivery, at the buyers\' expense, with tracking numbers and delivery confirmation. We recommend purchasing postal insurance as well.

We will correct the defect to our best ability, and return the doll to you, return postage and shipping insurance paid by us.

Ready-made dolls (not custom made) are made to the highest standards. We only use new, quality materials. We strive to make a doll that will be a joy to you and last for years. We stand behind our product. We are proud of our dolls, of our quality, and we do not ship a doll until we are satisfied. Often we get requests for pictures during the reborning process. While we certainly understand that you are waiting and want to see how things are going, we must ask you to consider a couple of things.

First, we are a very busy reborning nursery. We love what we do. If we have several orders lined up, David would have to take pictures of each doll (no we don\'t have a cell phone). We have found that it truly disrupts our ability to make your doll and get it shipped in a timely manner.

Second, our goal is to provide you a wonderful experience. We believe it is important for you to see your baby when you receive it. The experience would be kind of spoiled if you see it all in parts, with no eyes or hair, no body, no clothes, etc.

Finally, our ultimate goal is for you, our cherished customer, to have the “awwww.....” moment when you first set eyes upon your new baby. That special feeling when you first hold him or her. That moment when you put your baby up on your shoulder and pat her little tooshie. That moment when you first set eyes upon her and look in awe at the fingers and toes, at the subtle veining, etc.
