Up for offers is the Hallicrafters S-120 general coverage receiver. This model is from the early 1960\'s. Thereceiver is in great condition. Thegrey-paintedsteel case is clean and shows no rust or pitting. It has asmall scuff on the top, but otherwise, it is nice and clean. Thechrome trim is nice and shiny. Thefrontpanel is also very clean and in excellentcondition. The graphics on the dial and front control panel are in excellent condition and none shows any wear. The clear plastic dial was removed, cleaned and properly reinstalled. All the knobs and switches are clean originals. Eachworks properly. The switches have been cleaned and lubed. The tuning capshave also beencarefully oiled-they rotate freely. The radio back panelremains inplace. It has holders for the telescoping antenna, which is also included. It appears to be the original and it too is nice. The radio bottom rubber feet are also clean originals. All screws holding the back panel and chassis in place are the correct originals. The radio plays well. All tubular capacitors as well as all (4) electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with fresh new caps.The settunes from 540 to 30000 kHz in four bands. Ranges: .55-1.6, 1.6-4.4, 4.5-11 and 11-30 MHz. There is also a 0-100 bandspread scale. The radio works well on all bands-some of the frequency ranges are not in use and receive few signals, while others work better at nite or with a longer antenna. Some bands pick up many many stations quite well. Features include: ¼\" Headphone Jack, BFO, Receive/Standby switch, built-in 5 inch speaker and illuminated dial. There is a built-in AM band Ferrite antenna, telescopic whip and external antenna terminals. Thetube lineupconsists of: 12BE6 Converter, 12BA6 IF Amp/BFO, 12AV6 Audio Amp/AVC, 50C5 Audio Power Amp plus one selenium rectifier. Rated for 105-125 VAC 60 Hz. The factory paper tags remain in place, one on the inside and one on the bottom. Dimensions are as follows: 13.5 x 5.875 x 8.75 inches, about 14 pounds well-packed.
