GREAT RUNNING 12HP HEADLESS WITTE HIT & MISS GAS ENGINE ON TRUCKS (WITH VIDEO) For Sale

You are offerding on a very nice 12hp Headless Witte hit & miss engine, built in 1917. This engine was found in northern Michigan many years ago by the man I bought it from. It is mounted on a heavy set of trucks with a nice tongue. This engine is in almost new condition mechanically, the compression isincredible, with zero blow by. The engine is very easy to start even with the super compression by using the intake valve, I can show the next owner how easy this engine is to start.Both flywheels run perfectly true and have no issues.The ignitionis by battery and buzz coil (and spark plug), which is a very reliable system. Has a nice working oiler. Another great thing about this engine, is that there are NO cracks, breaks or welds. It is also a rare version in the fact that it has the kerosene burning attachment, which is currently the needle valve that is being used to run the engine. The gas tank is not original but certainly serves the purpose fine. The muffler is also not a Witte muffler, it\'s an Economy muffler andlooks and works just as good. Has the original nameplate. Pulley is small, but I guess is better than having no pulley at all. With the condition this engine is in, I wouldn\'t be surprised if it\'s putting out more horse power than the 12 that it\'s rated. This engine can be stored under coveruntil May 1st 2017, for NO CHARGE but it must be paid in full within 7 days of sale close. We are located 100 miles north of Detroit, and 35 miles east of Saginaw. You are more than welcome to come and inspect the engine while thesale is running. I will work with you on shipping, but that will be your responsibility to set up. I can haul the engine to a freight depot for no charge. I can also deliver this engine to Portland, IN swap meet in May, as well as Baraboo, WI swap meet in May next year as well, either place for $100.
