Gibson Country Western Guitar 1962 Vintage OriginalIn 1956 Gibson introduced a natural finish version of the Gibson southern jumbo with a mahogany back and sides and called it the \"Gibson Country Western\". They made them in natural finish and were discontinued in 1978. From \'56 to \'62 the Gibson Country Western acoustic guitar had round shoulders, from then on they had a 3 point pick guard, square shoulders and were renamed the \"SJN Country Western\". This is an original vintage \"Gibson Country Western\" from late 1961 or early 1962. The serial number stamped in the pedhead is 79429. It has a pearl logo & crownhead and pearl fretboard inlays. It comes with an original Gibson HSC. The paper label was removed in 2001.The guitar was purchased from a country singer down on his luck in 1968-there have never been any structural repairs-only two luthiers have work on it both Hollywood pros. It has been reftretted due to fret wear and the binding was cut. The 20-fret neck is straight and perfect and there is no fretboard wear. The vintage Kluson tuners are original.The guitar plays and sounds beautiful!

This guitar is close to perfect-There are only two issues-there is a small stop on the bottom of the guitar (see picture) & thestitching is coming loose on the case around the curves
