AERONAUTICS

Are you interested in Aviation History, Aircraft from the 30’s and 40’s (particularly Military Aircraft) or Aircraft Modelling?

“Aeronautics” is a technical aviation magazine published in the pre and post war years and also throughout the Second World War. Full of technical information, photographs, plans, diagrams and evaluations this publication also contains a wealth of information for modellers. These magazines are printed on high quality paper for the times and have stood up to the rigour of use and age better than most publications of this period with most wear being confined to the front and back cover.

These magazines are 100% original (not copies or reprints) and due to their age will contain some wear and tear that will be described in the individual listing. As the publishers were reliant on advertising from the aircraft and associated industries the number of pages does vary from issue to issue. This in turn means the weight also varies and therefore postage is individually calculated for each issue. The format is 11.75 inches (30cm) x 8.75 inches (22.5cm) except for those publications between April 1942 and November 1947 which are 10.75 inches (27.5cm) x 7.75 inches (20cm).

Each issue will be posted in the appropriate packaging to afford maximum protection. Please follow the link “Other items” below to view issues I currently have listed.

THE WAR ILLUSTRATED

Read about World War II as it happened and as it was portrayed to the British public. This newspaper was published every two weeks from the start of hostilities in 1939 through the war and until 1947.

As its title suggests this publication contains a wealth of archive material including dozens of photographs from the various news agencies in each issue. It does therefore include photographic material covering every theatre of conflict and taken from both the allies and axis lines, although, as one would expect, the text and the accounts of action do have a definite bias towards the allied forces.

Please note: These newspapers are 100% original (not copies or reprints) and as such, due to their age, may contain slight yellowing of the pages, staple rust marks, missing or loose staples and other marks or signs of their age. This does however add to their authenticity and every copy is perfectly readable and every issue will posted in appropriate packaging to afford maximum protection.

Please follow the link “Other Items” below to view issues I currently have listed.
