EXCLUSIVE 1962 SEARS TURNPIKE AUTO TRANSPORT. Made In Japan by SHIOJI...WITH ORIGINAL BOX!Really GREAT DISPLAY PIECE for shows. AWESOME IN SIZE...close to TWO FEET LONG when cab & trailer are connected.Box is nearly 27 INCHES LONG!
HERE\'S WHAT YOU GET:
FRONT CAB: All 8 tandem tires, (16 total), & hubcaps are present. Friction motor missing, ladder is missing, twin front bumpers are missing.
TRAILER: Rear axle along with 2 tandem tires, (4 total), & 2 hubcaps are missing. The other 4 tandem tires, (8 total), & 4 hubcaps are present.Parking wheel struts are present, but the actual parking wheels & axle are missing.
FIVE CARS:FORD T-BIRD. Nice friction. No rear grill, no hubcaps.VOLVO STATION WAGON. Nice friction, no hubcaps, no name-plate.MERCEDES BENZ. Friction binds, no windshield, no hubcaps.STUDEBAKER LARK. No friction motor, no tires, no hubcaps, front axle gone, no left-rear lens.OPEL COUP. No friction motor, 3 tires missing, no hubcap, no front grill, no windshield.(These four cars are missing: Ferrari Sports Coup; Citroen Sedan; Rolls Royce Sedan; & MG Sports Car.)
Also missing are the individual car insert boxes.
There is a NON-ORIGINAL connection linking the cab to the trailer. Easy \"male / female\" installation or separation. Cab & trailer still hook-up and roll.
The RAMP is still present!
The cab measures 10 1/2\" long.The trailer measures 20\" long.The cars are approximately 5 1/2\" long each.The box measures a whopping 26 1/2\" long x 6 1/2\" wide x 5\" deep.The cab & trailer measure almost 20\" long when linked.
I\'d call this a \"Parts Toy with Perks\". It displays much better than your common junked-out parts toy. It\'s really awesome-HUGH. (Think \"Eye Contact\" at a show!).And it\'s got the ORIGINAL BOX! (Minimal tape residue present).Bet\'cha know some collectors who have a sweet-complete version of this toy but are lacking a box.
