Here I have anEpiphone Masterbilt DR-500-SCE-VS Acoustic Electric Guitar. I get these as factory seconds. The only factory flaw can be seen in the last photo of the head stock. The high E tuner has an imperfection on the headstock. This is clearly seen in the photo. Other than that the factory pulled the preamp, nut and saddle. I replaced the nut and saddle with bone as was original. This guitar is solild mahogany back and sides with a solid spruce top. I placed a Fishman Presys preamp which is very close to the orignial. The plug is on the side. The headstock is beautiful Mother of Pearl and not some decal. This is a beautiful guitar and sounds very good. I brought the action to factory specs which means there is room to shave the nut or saddle down if the action it too high for your taste. For me it is right where I like it but I know some want it as low as it can go without buzzing. You can play with the action all you want. This has 1930\'s Wide-X bracing for a vintage sound. The plastic on thepick guard is still there. I buy, repair and sell guitars for a local charity so I see a lot of guitars. This would be a keeper for me if I did not have too many already.
