Vintage Genuine Cowhide Leather Doctors Style Satchel Bag / Luggage. Stamped at bottom - 95 X Genuine Cowhide, Made In USA. No manufacturer evident.

Private estate find from an old country home that dated back to the 1910s. Age??? - looks to range in age from the 1920s - 1940s.

Genuine cowhide leather with texture grain. Leather overall is in nice condition & is pliable w no brittle leather or dry rot. Shows the some typical finish wear at the bottom corners & at the middle corners where the bag bends w a few minor scratches from use but nothing major. The leather is not worn thin or is in any danger of splitting or tearing at any of these points. Lots Of Photos &Documented In Full - See Pictures.

Solid without broken or missing stitching or loose seams. The bottom half is reinforced & is ridged - most likely cardboard. When not full the bag slouches to the side w the lock & clasps due to the extra weight.

Lock & clasps all functions smoothly - no key. These old locks were not that complicated - maybe you have or can find an old key that will work.

Leather handle is solid w no damage. Lined (vinyl?) interior shows use, some tape? apparent.

Measures 18 ½\" long x 10 1/8\" wide at the bottom & is 13\" high w thehandle not included - as pictured closed in the 1st photo.

Interior smells a bit old but odor is not to bad - this is very common but should improve w Febreze or another method.
