Rondell white was drafted by the Montreal Expos with the 24th overall pick in the 1990 draft, White played there from 1993–2000. He was traded to the Chicago Cubs for Scott Downs on July 31, 2000. He played for the team until 2001. On December 17, 2001 he signed a two-year deal with the New York Yankees. On March 19, 2003 he was traded from the Yankees to the San Diego Padres for Bubba Trammell and Mark Phillips. That year he made his first career All-Star team. On August 26, 2003 he was traded to the Kansas City Royals for Chris Tierney and Brian Sanches. After the season he became a free agent and signed with the Detroit Tigers. After two seasons with the Tigers, he signed with the Minnesota Twins on December 22, 2005.
