World Series champion and NL Mvp
Kris Bryant 11th home run of 2016.
Waveland Avenue !!
In 2015 Kris Bryant broke the long standing Chicago Cubs team record for home runs by a first year player ( Billy Williams 25 in 1961 ) while becoming the National League rookie of the year . None of those home runs reached Waveland avenue .
Actually only THREE home runs total reached the street in all of last year . A feat made increasingly more difficult by expansion of the bleachers including video boards and large signage .
This ball, Kris' 37th career home run , bounced off the walkway behind the left field bleachers and found its way past all the new obstacles and over Waveland avenue starting a mild scrum on the sidewalk leaving Ballhawks and passerbys laid out on the pavement lol .
The final Cubs run in the Cubs 6-2 victory over the Phillies !!
* I had this ball signed by Kris while waiting outside the Cubs clubhouse to return David Ross' 100th career home run which I caught earlier in this same game .
The autograph has been authenticated by PSA DNA ( AA06220 ) and the baseball has been "permanently marked with ... invisible ink ... containing strand of synthetic DNA ... whichwill fluoresce under a calibrated laser "
Baseball has been tagged with an official ballhawk.net tamper evident numbered hologram and comes with a full detailed photo letter from ballhawk.net . ( example shown )
I enjoy having this ball in the collection and I am happy keeping it . If you are interested in adding this historic baseball to your collection please do some research through the ballhawk website and visit twitter @super_dave or instagram ballhawknet before making an offer .
