You're looking at a very coolBoston Red Sox 1930's / 1940's Vintage Baseball Pennant Color Variation RARE. Ive spent weeks trying to find another one of these pennants using google images , worthpoint and . they've all come up empty, not a single version of this flag anywhere. it matches up exactly with 1930's /1940's Red Sox pennants although this pennant has much finer detail. the mass produced pennants of the same time frame are red with white or red with gray text. Ive spoken to experts that deal primarily with sports pennants, they can confirm it looks proper for the 30's/40's design. they have told me that it could be a SALESMANS SAMPLE . this would make this item possibly a one of a kind. it has higher detail than other pennants of the same time period. the outfield stands have more detail, also the small players on the field. these dont exist on similar pennants. This item was recently uncovered in Canada, brought into my shop along with other pennants of the same time period, including Detroit Tigers Briggs Stadium 1948, I stand by the authenticity of this item, its in remarkable shape for being 80-90 years old. Im listing this for sale, but would love to know more about it , if anyone has one similar. I think it belongs at Fenway park , or in a collection that it will be appreciated.
