Offered here is a gorgeous Babe Ruth single signed baseball that bears an original, darkautograph of the man who reinvented baseball in the 1920's.

The Babe's iconic signature is presented on the sweet-spot in bold black fountain ink. The autograph is in mint condition and one of the strongest Ruth singles we've owned. It also happens to be extremely large in size, even for Ruth!

The ball itself features a creamy,toned color having been painted with an off-white matte finishpaint. It is our belief that this ball had another signature or writings on a side panel, and to make this a true Ruth single, the original owner had the surface of the ball painted to cover up any other writings.

Again, the signature is 100% authentic and comes with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA. The artist was so maticulous! In fact, the artist's ability to paint in between the letters of Ruth's scripted name, as well as providing an even coat without concealingthe Wilson stampings on the ball is quite impressive. Almost every Ruth single with signature removals is done so by scraping off the other writing with an abrasive surface. This leaves for horrible, rough surface spots on the baseball - ruining its quality, appeal, and value.

Babe Ruth signed baseballs, photos and memorabilia in general have escalated quite consistently through the decades. In fact, the finest known Ruth single-signed ball fetched $388,000 in a 2012 public sale.
