The Yankees would win a staggering 110 games against only 44 loses to the tune of an incredible .710 winning percentage, eventually claiming their second world championship by sweeping the Pirates in an uncontested four games. Along with the aforementioned sluggers, spearheading this juggernaut was a steady pitching staff led by Herb Pennock and Wait Hoyt, with their Hall of Fame manager Miller Huggins paving the way.
