HERE IT IS!!!!! The exemplar of the autograph collecting hobby! A Babe Ruth single signed baseball! Offered here is a vintage Babe Ruth single signed baseball. The ball is dated "April 24, 1923" and "Toronto 8 New York 1" (Suggesting probable Game Use), making this a very rare and old example of a Babe Ruth signature. The game use cannot be 100% verified, but scores were inscribed on baseballs usually only when they were game used. Plus the ball appears to be game used. The quotes around "Babe" are present in the signature, a very rare variation than appeared early in Ruth's career only. This is a B. Bancroft "Ban" Johnson Official American League Ball, and the earlier and more valuable 1917-1924 model. The autograph is partially on the side panel and runs onto the sweet spot, with the inscription right underneath it.This is the very desirable first version of the Ban Johnson Official American League Baseball. These baseballs can go as high as $5000 unsigned because they are so rare.
As for the condition. The signature of Babe Ruth is very good for a ball that's around 89 years old, probably a "3" or "4". The ball is in somewhat worse condition, with the stampings in bad condition but legible. Overall, this is a solid Babe Ruth single signed baseball that won't cost you $20,000.
