The maximum length is 19 1/2\".BeautifulNative American Indian handmade Santo Domingo smoothheishi necklace/choker created by Marie Crespin.It is very comfortable to wear. Measures 19 1/2\" long from end to end including the silver hook and eye. The necklace is strung with turquoise heishi in a variety ofshades and beautiful deep orange spiny oyster. The necklace/choker contains a fewblue turquoise/blue green turquoise,green turquoiseand many turquoisecolors in between. Brown and tan matrix. The bottom section and four other sectionscontainorange spiny oyster which is placed between the turquoise. Heishi beads are made by first sawing theturquoise into small irregular pieces and individually drilling each one. These are then strung on wire and ground until they become disk shaped and are the desired diameter. The heishi tapers from almost 1/2\" in diameter at the bottom to over1/8\" at both ends.Sterling silver hook and eye closure.
