Antique Top Hat in its Leather Luggage Hat Box For Sale

The top hat is in excellent condition and was probably well protected in its leather box, which is in good condition. An interesting note is the personal inscription on the outside rim of the box: \"G T Colony Keene NH\". This inscription coincides with the large gold letters on the inside of the top hat: G T C. Research shows that a George T. Colony lived in Keene NH at the turn of the 19th century. The box has its original key and felt brush. The item was purchased in Fitzwilliam, NH over fifty years ago. I trust the photos give you an accurate picture of its flaws, but also of its rare beauty. The items are being sold \"as is\", and as shown in the photos, there is some loss to the leather, cracking, some mildew staining, discoloration, and broken straps.
