Antique Symphonion Music Box Phonograph Ludwig Haas For Sale

Plays well, box has issues, Top is mostly gone and front need to be re-glued but except for the top box is intact. Comes with only one disc which is warped and if locked down causes music to stop when it gets to a particular point. If disc not locked in place, music plays fine. From reading other box descriptions, it also appears to be missing wheeled guides that hold disc steady, but I don\'t detect that this is affecting the playability. As well, the little fan/pedulum which turns rapidly underneath appears to be missing the winged governor (see last pix), but again it appears to play fine. Not knowing how the tune should play, maybe the missing governor causes it to play a bit faster? I have a piece of that governor and will include it, perhaps it can be reproduced from a small piece of tin or thin metal. After looking again at previously sold boxes of this type, I am no longer sure I am missing wheeled guides. I think I am missing the L brackets that supported the lid. Previous owner had some non-original wood dowels in those empty holes in the center of the front and back horizontal wood pieces and the dowels aligned with the edges of the disc. Misunderstanding on my part. Another addition I would like to make to the description is that there are no missing or broken teeth on the player.
