Antique restored GEORGE A PRINCE BUFFALO (NY) boxwood flute with 1 square key: $500.00
Beautiful original antique (pre 1900) restored George A Prince Buffalo (NY) boxwood flute, c. 1840\'s. Flute is stamped G A PRINCE BUFFALO. Has been restored in West Virginia. Prince opened a general music store in 1841 in Buffalo. He is listed as an Agent for Graves & Co., Winchester NH in a Buffalo newspaper ad in 1845.... might this flute be a stenciled Graves? Where Prince\'s music store was is now the Main Library for Buffalo & Erie County. Prince\'s claim to fame was becoming the leading melodeon and pump organ maker in the world ( see on the web WHEN BUFFALO WAS THE MELODEON CAPITAL OF THE WORLD -WNY Heritage Magazine). Flute has had cracks sealed, and the one square brass key has been repadded. I am not a flute player, so I can\'t tell you how it plays. Sold \'as-is\'-- no returns. BIN of $500.00. I ship only within the USA-no exceptions. Shipping via insured Priority Mail is an add\'l $12.00. If a NYS resident, add 8.75% sales tax. Payment must be sent within 7 days after item is won. I prefer PayPal. The best of luck for this beautiful instrument!
