DESCRIPTION

This is an antique primitive one-gallon salt glaze gray stoneware crock. I verified the one-gallon capacity by addingthat measure of water to the crock. Also, this confirmed that there were noleaks in the container. The antique crock measures as follows:

·5¼” outside diameteracross the top;

·6½” outside diameteracross the bottom;

·7” wide through thecenter of the crock; and

·8¾” tall.

The glaze is shiny and bright, and the piece overall has a lot ofcharacter. It has picked up a few nicks, chips and a crack over the years, butthe one-gallon salt glaze stoneware crock is in very good antique condition.
