Offering this antique BRASS NESTED APOTHECARY 7 PIECE WEIGHT SET.
All the pieces are present including the pill.
Cups are marked as follows:
Largest cup or one with the lid is marked with a 4 on the interior.Next largest cup is marked with number 2 on the inside bottom.Next largest is marked with number 1 inside bottom.Next largest does is marked 845 on the inside and this number is also marked on the inside of other cups and the closing lid.Next largest cup is marked with a 5 or .5, a little difficult to tell.The smallest cup is marked with a 45 on the bottom.Finally the pill cap with no markings.
Other markings on the lid are W with a symbol over the number 4, number 845 and a very small symbol which I cannot quite make out.
I can\'t say the significance of all the symbols as to what measures they equate to. I will leave it to the experts in the field.
Has a nice patina in some areas and the usual bumps and bruises for something like this but overall it is complete and in pretty good shape.
