Impressive decorative piece from one of the most sought after French Porcelain factories. Large scale blanc de chine porcelain rooster in the Meissen style on a naturalistic base. Marked with the Samson mark; blue under glaze bar over crossed swords, Circa mid 19th Century.

Dimensions: 28\"H x 9.5\"W x 6\"D . Very heavy!

Condition: Left wing, left talons, head feathers restored. Restoration to the base, one in the front and one in the back, possibly covering small chips.
