A fine interesting and unusual Universal Equinoctial Compass Sundial with silvered latitude arc and hour scale 1111 - 11X and 1 - V111 with spring loaded gnomon and outer scale , Of note to Chinese buyers the item is engraved with Latitudes in China .,it has a central recessed compass with silvered dial. compass points and 360 degreesouter scale and shut off lever .
The case in red mahogany with signs of use to the front edge , the 2 brass hook catches now missing the arms , the hinges fine.there are 2 small screws missing see photos ,
The outsidemeasures approx 10 cmwide at the box edge .the depth approx 3 cm.weight approx 255grams .
The maker is not evident and most likely not marked .
