ANTIQUE BALANCE SCALE 2KG w Original Brass Pans Mercantile/Pharmaceutical Scale For Sale

Offered for your consideration today is this great antique balance scale. As you can see, this is a 2KG scale with its original brass pans. Interestingly, it appears that some lead (or other molten metal) was added to the bottom of one of the brass trays at some point in time -- not sure if that was an attempt to cheat the customer back in the day -- but it does throw the scale slightly off balance. The overall measurements of this scale are approximately 15\" across by 7 3/4\" high, so it would fit pretty much anywhere you\'d like to display it. The black base is in excellent condition, the brass trays are tarnished and do have some dents and dings as pictured, as well as the added metal as noted above. Thanks for looking.
