Signed By ALBERT BENJAMIN \"HAPPY\" CHANDLER and THELMA STOVALLSigned proclamation from Albert Benjamin \"Happy\" Chandler commissioning the honorable Donald Hamilton of White Plains, New York, a Kentucky Colonel. A. B. Chandler was, of course, was a great college athlete, the two-time governor of Kentucky, a U.S. Senator, the Commissioner of Major League Baseball from 1941-45, and a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Also signed by former Kentucky Secretary of State and Lieutenant Governor Thelma Stovall who was a pioneering female politician. About 10 3/4\" x 15 3/4\". The proclamation was framed (most likely in 1958). It is in good condition. The gold foil seal has some tarnish on it. The two autographs have naturally faded a bit over the last 60 years but are in good shape. The proclamation itself appears to be in very good condition. A bit of wear to the frame.
