5-string 1910's Vega Fairbanks Banjo No. 1 Special Cracked Headstock AS FOUND:
You are offerding on a used Fairbanks Vega Banjo. Judging by the serial number it's date of origin could be from 1910 to 1919. It does have a crack in the headstock (pictured) that moves with a lot of pressure but is very solid for the most part. The tension of the strings should not have any affect on the crack. Otherwise there is nothing too major. The fret nearest the 5th string is protruding. For a 100 year old instrument, it is in pretty decent shape. Please ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE offerDING.
