You are looking at a high quality, Korean made Banjo. Not Chinese- Approx. 15 - 20 years old so you know it will hold up. The Eagle Brand was brought into the USA by a Mississippi Distributor. A couple of grades up from a beginner level. Frets do not show wear. Hi-Quality Mother of Pearl Inlays on fingerboard, which has binding. Arched resonator is bound front & back, & has 2 decorative rings. Mahogany rims, back & neck. String action has been set low to play easy. There is one small short tear in the head, having been patched from the back. It should last quite a while unless someone pokes at it, or tries to rub it completely flat. Banjo heads for years have been the same thing as drum heads which take a serious beating. As you can see the head says Remo Weather King, same as their drum heads. Remo is probably the #1 selling drum head even if you added the few other brands together. Replacement is easy & will cost 8 - 17.00 depending on what brand you buy, but if you are a beginner or whatever, like me, just like to keep one around, this banjo will serve you well. I\'m putting in a free set of strings & picks so you can get started right away. Banjo chords can be as easy as 1 to 2 finger chording, strings are small & this one has been set up to play easy. You can spend 2 - 3 times as much on a chinese beginner banjo, but we\'ve yet to see if they will hold up a long time. I bought a beautiful mid-line Ibanez & another acoustic in December that was chinese made. By February both guitars had pulled up from the rear far enough to stick your finger under. To repair them cost more than I paid for them so-china has yet to prove itself on 1 instrument. This one already has & is still ready to go. Very light shirt button random scratches that aren\'t even thru the clear coat let a lone the finish & should polish/buff out if you wish. I wouldn\'t. Head stock corners have the points dinged a little as is usual for an instrument that gets set down & leaned against a wall. Some dings, scratches on the bottom back edge of the resonator from where its been set down over the years & one 5 inches from top dead center of the back edge of the resonator. A couple of dings, impressions, scuff & a sticky spot on back of head stock needs a little goo gone. All minor, & sometimes some of it happens in the store before it\'s sold. This is a bargain anyway you look at it. I am selling it for basically what I as a luthier & seller, having owned 4 music stores over 30\'ish years. I wanted it for a spot on a track & now I just want to give someone a deal on a good banjo. Thanks & enjoy.
