5/8/1968 Oakland A’s Ticket Stub Jim Catfish Hunter Perfect Game - Rare For Sale

5/6/1968. Fair condition used ticket stub. Very rare. Measures 1.5 x 1.75 inches. The ticket in the first two photos is the one being sold.

The only one I could find sold was in EX/MT condition with writing on back side at Robert Edward sales. It sold in Fall of 2016 along with a signed Catfish Hunter baseball for $6,000. The Robert Edward sales’ ticket had writing on the back side. A screen shot of that sale is shown as pictures 3 through 5.

On May 8, 1968, Jim \"Catfish\" Hunter became the tenth pitcher in baseball history to pitch a perfect game when he blanked the Twins 4-0 at Oakland-Alameda Coliseum.

Offered here is an extremely rare used ticket stub from that historic game. Only 6,298 fans attended that game, which causes the extreme rarity.

Robert Edward sales indicted in their sale that the one they had for sale was the only ticket stub from that game they had ever seen. This makes this only the second one I could find ever available for sale.
