This sale is for the Holy Grail of modern day baseball cards and the best Albert Pujols Rookie Card lot in existence, Period...

This is it, the best of the best, (2) 2001 Albert Pujols Bowman Chrome Autograph RCs #340. Serial Numbered 5/500 and 79/500.

First, is a breathtakingly clean copy which has had every inch of the card analyzed by the masterminds at Beckett and been awarded the more then deserving grade of BGS 9.5/10 Gem Mint with spectacular subgrades of (10,10,9.5,9.5 10 Auto) which as everyone knows is only .5 away from being a BGS 10 Pristine. BGS Registered Serial #0005817326. Card is Serial Numbered 79/500.

Second, is a card which may even pass up the above referenced card in importance. A BGS 9/10 Mint copy with subgrades of (9.5,9.5,9,8.5 10 Auto) BGS Registered Serial #0002586241. This is an older, tougher BGS label, get this reviewed today for a possible subgrade bump. Honestly this card looks extremely clean and every bit as nice as the BGS 9.5, the centering is identical on front and possibly better on the back, and the surface also looks deserving of at least a 9. This card really does deserve a Gem Mint grade also. But what makes this card truly special is the fact that it is Serial Numbered 5/500 which is Pujol's Jersey Number. I have been informed there are two versions of the card, one that was a pack inserted version and one that was a redemption version.

The Bowman Chrome Pujols Rookie Card will go down as one of the best sportscards ever produced...Think of what a Mickey Mantle 1952 Topps RC graded Gem Mint and one Jersey #ed would be worth today. Or consider a Michael Jordan or Wayne Gretzky RC with similar accolades and you can see this card truly has unlimited potential.
