1988 Don Mattingly Signed Facsimile/Real Fotoball in Case Children\'s Health Fund. I obtained this item at a card show in the late 1980\'s. The dealer said that Don Mattingly (who was the the first captain of the Children\'s Health Fund championed by the New York Yankees) gave these \"signed\" fotoballs out at a event upon a significant mount was donated to the fund. One picture shows a ribbon that came with the item. The signature, which is crisp in black ink, can be authentic or a facsimile. I am unable to gather any relevant information on this item. Even if it is a facsimile autograph, this unique fotoball is a nice Mattingly collectible. the ball is in mint condition with no toning.
