Here\'s the 1969 F. Strauss & Son, Inc. Wholesale Liquor Distributor 30th Anniversary Plain Aluminum Doubloon. The doubloon measures 39 mm or 1 1/2\" in diameter and is in Very Good Condition. Payment due within 48 hours of purchase. Note: The obverse features their new location in New Orleans. The reverse reads \"F. STRAUSS & SON INC...30TH ANNIVERSARY...NEW ORLEANS...1939 - 1969.\" Referred to as a \"Commercial Issue,\" these doubloons were distributed in the New Orleans Area during the 1969 Carnival Season to advertise the new F. Strauss & Son business location and commemorate their 30th Anniversary in the Wholesale Liquor Business. (Unless specifically described as \'toning,\' any Gold, Green or Purple Hues appearing on any item are the reflection of a Mardi Gras Banner which hangs above my desk.)
