CHAMPION SADDLE - BRONC

PRESENTED IN 1957

This trophy saddle was presented in Tulia TX in 1957. It was apparently sponsored by the STAR Grain Co. It was finely made by Maddox Leather in Amarillo Texas.

You can see it has been used lightly and needs some TLC. It is not bad though. It will need some strapping and rawhide.

The leather is a little stiff but not brittle or crumbling. Although it is offered for your offer as a collectible, it could be restored and used.

You can see the finely tooled work that covers this fancy saddle. Maddox Leather spared no expense!

It measures 15 inches from the face of the tree ,under the horn, to the back of the saddle.

Pretty nice saddle for it’s age.

It has the stirrups. You can see the fine leatherwork continues right down to the bottom.

Even the under side wool is good.
