This sale features the 1956 Christmas Catalog from Sears. This delightful Wish Book has 419 pages of wonderful dolls, toys, clothing, household goods, and gifts for the whole family. Did you know you could even buy a real, live African Monkey for $59.50, or a trained Shetland pony for $299.95? A 100% cashmere sweater set was almost $35 (I guess cashmere has always been pricey)! Of course, the toys were wonderful. There were Revlon dolls, Sweet Sue, Tiny Tears, the Gerber Baby, Raggedy Ann and Andy, Dennis the Menace, Rosie O\'Neill\'s original Kewpie doll, and Jerry Mahoney, the ventriloquist doll and Howdy Doody. There were all kinds of play sets, and gun sets including Roy Rogers and Daisy, J.C. Higgins long guns, trains by Allstate and Lionel, and pedal cars galore, including the Dragnet squad car, there are battery-ops, Erector sets, tin toys, Disneyland toys and more. Be sure and check the photos for condition and appearance and email if you have questions. It does not smell musty -- just has the pleasant smell of old paper.
