1946 SOUTHERN JUMBO OLD SCRIPT ORIGINAL CASE RED VELVET INSIDE:

This is a 1946 Southern Jumbo it has some cleated cracks one on the front that measures about 7 inchs, you can hardly see it. The Luther that did it did a fine job. There is a crack on the back about 17 inchs or so in length and cleated so well, we put a flashlight and turned off the lights and you could not see thru it. There is also a small crack by the sound hole that has been professionally stabilized a block put behind the small crack. and cleated, so any damage it has, been taken care of it. It has some scratching and a lot of crackling on the front, some from age and some from the pick and playing over the years.
This guitar is beautiful in the eyes of the beholder some blemishes and age worn. It is very special as it is very old and yet holds a tune like a new one hard to get a Southern jumbo these days, especially in mint condition. It has a sprucetop and mahogany sidesand back.
The play ability is awesome, it plays so well, like a dream, the action is low 2/32 at the B nut and 3/32 on the 12th fret. There is a hairline crack on the side that does not go all the way thru or even close it is just a scrape that happened sometime ago.
The age of the wood is gorgeous. It a beautiful spruce on the top and mahogany on the sides and back. The fret board is rosewood.
you have to see this guitar to recognize it\'s true beauty. It is a story waiting to be told. It was owned by one man a grandfather for most of it\'s life. He died and it was played a lot and then the grandson was told to sell it.
Remember these are not a dime a dozen there are becoming fewer and fewer and harder to find. if you purchase this guitar you will not regret one minute of your money as it plays so well. The neck is straight and true. No problems there so you can rest assured you will not need a neck set it is perfect.
