1937 Vintage design Lanzo Racer 144\"W/S scratch built model airplane R/C For Sale

This 144 inch wing span original size \"Racer\",as designed and built by Chet Lanzo in 1937, was built by myself as an electric powered radio controlled version in 2015 and has been flown just one time to prove it\'s airworthiness. It was originally designed and built as a free flight model for competition in the late thirties.Powered by an out-runner brushless motor with electronic speed control and 3s, 11.1 volt 30c battery, it has more than enough power to take off and fly for around 15 minutes. A really slow flyer , if you so wish, since it\'s design is such that it will thermal without power for as long as you are able to find those thermals.The wing is built in three sections to enable transport and which plug into each other with duralumin dihedral braces and couplings to keep it all together during flight. Each wing section is approximately 48 inches and the fuselage is 72inches long. The tail-plane is attached with two stainless cap head screws and the fin is also removable.Shipping would be possible but would involve constructing a shipping box and would therefore be somewhat expensive; I will get a price from my local cabinet maker should you require it to be shipped. It will require a simple 2.4 gig transmitter and receiver which I can provide for under $50 and is complete and ready to fly.
