Presenting The GreatestBaseball Card Ever Made featuring Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. It’s an incrediblyrare 1934 Japanese Bromide U.S. Tour of Japan Ruth/Gehrig NEAR MINT SGC 84, theequivalent of PSA 7. It’s 1 of 1, Highest Graded and the only one ever gradedby PSA or SGC.
I have been an avid collector of JapaneseBaseball cards for nearly 30 years, and only 5 examples of this card are knownto exist. This card is the nicest of the five.
This vintage Ruth/Gehrig card measuresapproximately 3-3/8 x 5-5/16 and features a stunning, large sepia-tonephotograph of Ruth and Gehrig on the field in Japan in their 1934 Tour of Japanuniforms. They are holding their powerful bats—Ruth his R43 Louisville Slugger—whichtogether would wallop 19 home runs during their legendary Tour (13 from Ruth, 6from Gehrig).
The picture of these legendary Yankees teammateswas taken close-up, so when you hold this card in your hands you can actuallyfeel a sense of going back in time and being on the field with them. And as ifthat weren’t enough, the card also has a big, bold facsimile autograph of BabeRuth on the front that would grade 10 out of 10.

Recently,a 1928 Sociedade Industrial Babe Ruth/Lou Gehrig #100 graded SGC 5.5 sold for morethan $16,000. It wasn’t even the highest graded since there’sa PSA 7 example of the card. Plus, it measures around 1-3/4” x 2-1/2” which ismuch smaller than this magnificent and large 1934 Ruth/Gehrig.
Of all the Ruth/Gehrig cards that exist, their 1934 Bromide U.S. Tour of Japan is by far the greatest photo and largest picture of these two immortal teammates who won 4 World Series together and clouted an astounding 1,207 home runs. They comprised half of murderer’s row on what’s been called the Greatest Team of All-Time, the 1927 Yankees.
It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own theGreatest Card Ever Made of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig: their 1934 Bromide U.S.Tour of Japan Ruth/Gehrig NEAR MINT SGC 84.
