1933 World Wide Gum (Canadian Goudey) Uncut sheet
Low number sheet with 24 players (5 Hall of Famers)

This sheet of 24 World Wide Gum players is in remarkable shape and remains preserved with the same qualities -- vivid imagery, original colors, and perfectly registration -- as when it was first printed and bound. The two binding holes are located near the upper left hand corner and the lower left hand corner and help to identify the sheet as the CLM (Consolidated Lithographic Manufacturing of Quebec) file copy. There is very light creasing and some wear near the corners and between the two binding holes.

If professionally cut, the following cards would each grade either Mint or Gem Mint: #18 Herold (Muddy) Ruel, #19 Bill Dickey, #13 Lafayette Thompson, #14 Henry Johnson, #40 Taylor Douthit, #15 Victor Sorrell, #17 Watson Clark, #7 Ted Lyons, and #16 George Blaeholder. There are other cards which would also grade high, but the previous nine are all in pristine shape without any discernable wear. Other notable Hall of Famers include Pie Traynor, Ki Ki Cuyler, and Bill Terry.

Obtained directly from a man, who, in 1957, rescued it from the garbage when Consolidated Lithographic Manufacturing (CLM) of Quebec was cleaning out its files following its purchase by Somerville. According to the owner, all but a small number of other uncut World Wide sheets were discarded and this was the unique example of this series which was saved. To the best of our knowledge this sheet is either one of two known (according to an unverified claim), or one-of-a-kind.
