NICE 1864 Civil WarSword Emerson Silver Trenton initials DFM New JerseySaber & Scabbard M 1860 1840 ....not sure ifthis is a model 1840 or M -1860 . . Sword is clearly signed Emerson Silver TrentonNJ / dated US 1864 also - inspector\'sinitial DFM on Blade and on the handle ... Totalsword in scabbard measures approx. 43\"long - sword out of scabbard is about 41\" long -blade isabout 35\" long and is approx 1-1/8\" wide near the guard ..Blade is one of the best I have seen . . bright finish . . . . scabbardis about 36-1/2\" long . . .grip is allintact everything nice & tight w/complete brass wired wrap, looks to be all100% original with some wear to leather grip .. ... Blade has little wear ... .. . blade is straight and appears to have its original finish. . . / The scabbard looks original to swordand has normal scuffs , surface rust etc. . .no markings on scabbard ....Nice piece .. please use and view all photos for item’s description &condition …..
