Hard Seat, Beautiful Hand Tooling

This is a vintage Western saddle that is marked \"R.A. BIRD\", \"Maker\", and \"Mesa, Arizona\". It has a 15 inch hard seat that has some sections tooled, and it is measures as pictured. The cantle is flat and is also tooled. The seat and the strap holder are both marked with the maker\'s name as pictured. The saddle has roping swells that are tooled, as well as a leather lariat holder. The leather covering on the horn is of a vintage design. The skirts, fenders, and leather covered stirrups are all tooled. The tooling is a large floral and leaves design, while the back side of the stirrups has a form of basketweave tooling. This saddle is from the 1940\'s or early 1950\'s era.

The saddle is ready to ride. Though a vintage saddle, it is usable and in very good shape. There are some nicks, scuffs, darker/lighter areas, and evidence of use which are common to used/vintage saddles, but it shows little wear and use. Leather is in good condition (see pictures). There are some slight whitish marks on the stirrups\' leather (pictured).

A great saddle with that classic vintage look.
