Earlier that year Topps produced Baseball Bucks, a test issue, which came in their own penny packs. In 1962, young collectors were treated to a special insert series found inside the standard wax packs called \"Bucks.\" The 55-subject promotion used American greenbacks as their inspiration but their size made it necessary to fold them to fit inside the packs. Subsequently, an extremely small percentage have somehow survived the folding process. And scarcer yet, and offered for sale here, is an absolutely incredible trio that somehow not only escaped the folding process, but also miraculously escaped the final cutting process and is one of the rare surviving examples of intact bucks that have been uncut. Perhaps the only uncut sheet in existence featuring Mickey Mantle.The trio featured are Jerry Lumpe, Leon Wagner and, remarkably, Mickey Mantle.
